Hi guys ... I just bought a 1TB external hard drive that I'm gonna share with my brother, and I was wondering if there is a way I could password lock my part of it? Either through Windows or using a software. I don't want him all up my personal stuff, and he's very nosy.

    Please let me know!

ahl, this looks exactly like what I want. But I was wondering, if I use it to lock a folder on my external HD, then use that HD on a different computer, will I be able to unlock it, or do I need to install the program on the HD as well?

If you are that worried about it, I wouldn't even bother sharing it with him.

BTW, TrueCrypt might work for you.

Well he's paying for half of it, that's why we're sharing. Plus, even if he didn't pay, he wouldn't ask me to use it, he would just take it and use it anyway.

    Thanks!
