Hi all,
I have a Vantec NT-360SU-BK external HDD, which has work well for the last few years (I got it when I first came on the market).
However, my desktop recently died and when I installed my 300gb (Maxtor 6V300F0) and 120gb (Western Digital WD1200JD) in the enclosure, they will not work through esata (even when the Maxtor is forced in 1.5gb/s mode). Both are out of my desktop and worked fine, both work through USB fine. Tried both drives through esata on 2 different notebooks, still no luck.
My old Seagate (80gb ST380013AS) which was in the enclouse since I purchase it, works fine through esata.
Can anybody help with this? Would reformatting the drives make any difference?
Cheers.

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
What exactly happens when you try to use these drives in the enclosure? "Doesn't work" is kind of vague...

When I plug it in mp HP DV5 it does nothing (except Intel Matrix Storage Console refreshes every couple of seconds, like it is trying to detected it). When I plug it into my friends ASUS laptop, it hangs his laptop up and a reset is required. It is weird as when I put the 80gb back in it, esata works fine.
Thanks for the reply -
