This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     External HDD error

    Deus Ex: Invisible War is the only thing I have on my Maxtor Personal Storage 3100 external USB 2.0 HDD. Today when I booted up I got an error that said:

    "Windows was unable to save all of the data from the file G:/$Mft. The data has been lost. This error maybe caused by a failure of your hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere."

    The HDD was detected in My Computer but it said that invisible war was not installed. I restarted my computer, the external HDD was not detected. I cycled the power on the HDD, windows detected it, now everything is okay. Any1 have any idea what was going on?
