I heard that buying an internal HD and using an enclosure to turn it into an external drive is better than buying an out of the box external drive. What are the benefits of this? I searched google and didn't get much results.

The reason I'm asking is because of this thread I created, asking for help on external hard drives.

Any information on external hard drives or help in either of these threads is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
