I have an external Lacie harddrive.

How can I protect my files? There is valueble data on and if it get's stolen it will be a great loss. Also, I want to connect my harddrive to another PC/laptop, and I don't want the need to install any applications for it to work on that PC/laptop itself. Just want to pop in my Lacie, type in like a password, and get the data.

Is there any software of this type out there? How - passwords/encryption? Any suggestions or any one that have experience of this kind of issue who can help?

    Cheers :)
