    External LCD monitor - how to know if they are matt or glossy?

    I am looking around for an external LCD monitor of 19~20". None of the descriptions mention if they are matt (anti glare) or glossy screen. I'm interested in some Acer or Asus. Does anyone know? Such as the Acer S201HL bd 20-Inch Widescreen? Are they generally matt or glossy? I'll avoid glossy at all cost.

    At all cost?

    Either get the model number and get googling (hopefully for the manufacturer's specifications...), or...

    Buy a monitor that is advertised as matt. ;)

    go to google image search and search for the model number. See if it is reflective or not.

    why do i feel like it's rare to find a non-matte external lcd monitor? i think you'd really have to search for glossy so you might be good by default.

    Pretty much every external monitor I have seen is matte.

    it's funny how so many are advertised as glossy too but in reference to the bezel.
