    Hi all,

I have just bought a new Acer laptop, and have connected it to my 24" monitor with the same set-up (VGA cable) as I had with my previous laptop. The resolution of the monitor is according to windows at its highest (1900*1080) but it still looks blurry, certainly not as sharp as with my previous laptop. I have tried updating the Intel HD Graphics Card drivers but it hasn't helped.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be the problem and how I could fix it?

    many thanks for any help,

    Joe

The Monitor is an HP Maestro 242 DX.

Do you mean Packard Bell? Because there is no HP Maestro 242 DX. If it is the Packard Bell, it's because you are not on the right resolution. The monitor's resolution is 1920x1080, not 1900x1080. That's why you are experiencing blurriness.

Ah sorry it is a Packard Bell and the resolution is at 1920 x 1080. Clearly not awake
