I'm looking for an external enclosure for my notebook dvd burner via USB 2.0 something like this one Link.

    Any other suggestions?

I have purchased and used this one myself. It's a few buck cheaper anyway.

Nice...this is exactly what I'm looking for, cheaper and it appears to be USB powered.

Did you order through Centrix, and if so how was your experience.
    Thanks!

Yes I did. It was fine. Nothing sticks out in my memory. If you are looking for a burner, how about an external desktop drive which will offer better speed and quality.

My W3J has a modular bay, and I'm planning on putting a 2nd hard drive in their in place of my burner, so I need something to enclose it in to use externally. Anyways I think I'll order that enclosure you mentioned...thanks for the advice(rep increase for sure!)

I was looking for the same thing, since I do use a second hard drive in the modular bay. But you did bring up a better option, and was wondering if you know of any slim line desktop USB powered DVD drives I could use instead?

I do not. It's either going to be a desktop or laptop drive. Desktop drives offer better speed and quality, but obviously aren't as portable.
