Patriot SUPERSONIC RAGE 2 vs PRO
So I've been using the Patriot SUPERSONIC RAGE 2 for a long time now as my go to USB stick for creating system image backups, laptop recovery USB sticks, and Windows 10 Installation media as they are super fast and save me a lot of time when installing Windows or performing/restoring a backup.
Patriot has just release the PRO version of the SUPERSONIC USB so I grabbed one, they are both similarly priced at around 40 USD and here are the results, the PRO blows the regular one which was already fast out of the water in terms of Write speeds:

Which one is which in your screensnips? (They both say Pro).
The Rage 2 was just horrible, IME.
The Elite (256GB or larger) are worlds better. Can you compare the Elite to the Pro at the larger capacities for us?Papusan, Spartan@HIDevolution and Dr. AMK like this. -

I have a 512GB Elite. I'll post the benchmarks tomorrowjc_denton, Papusan and tilleroftheearth like this. -
I went with the
SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO
The odd thing about this particular drive with some OS' is that it's seen as a SSD and not a USB.
WR ~285MB/s / R ~360MB/s (Real World Use not synthetic)
There's a newer version that hits your CDM specs though for the same price ~$60
The problem with CDM is that it's not exactly what you get when you move actual packets to/from the drives. Ultimately a RTL based enclosure / NVME drive will net the best speeds for projects that need speed. This will set you back slightly more but yield 2X the speed of 99% of other USB devices for projects/imaging.
