Does anyone know how to remove the "RECYCLER" folder on an external hard drive? I have an internal PATA Seagate drive which I put into an enclosure to make it an external drive. After I have formatted it as NTFS, a folder with hidden attribute named RECYCLER appeared. Files that I deleted from that drive appear on one of the folders with recycle bin icons inside the RECYCLER folder, so I don't get free space from that drive when I delete a file.
Is there a way to disable the RECYCLER folder of external hard drives drives? When deleting a file, it could either be moved to the recycle bin of my internal hard drive or be deleted immediately. I am also using flash USB drives but I don't see a RECYCLER folder on those drives.

Try deleting files from your external HDD using the Shift+Del command. That should stop the files from going into the recycler.

Right clck on the Recycle Bin, select Properties, select Configure Drives Independently, then set Maximum Size of Recycle Bin to 0% on the drives where you want to eliminate the RECYCLER folder
