This was posted in the Toshiba forums but looking for problems on any (i) intel laptops...please move, if need be, to software forums.

Only with iTunes on new i3, i5 and i7 Toshiba laptops. iTunes diagnostics reports both LG burners as a USB1 device and burns CD at 4x speeds.

Some cars still have CD playes in trunk and no USB interface

Note that other aplications burns at proper high speed USB 2.0 of 48X for CD's. The same latest version of iTunes, media and burners works fine with older processors with XP to W7..no problems. The internal DVD drive is unafected and not on USB buss, but, of course only 24x

So, anyone using external USB burners with any flavor of i3,i5,i7 intel laptops having any burn speed problems?

    TIA
