I've looked at every single usb 3.0 2.5 HDD enclosure without a power cord on a few popular sites, and all of them that had extensive reviews said the USB 3.0 connector broke. So I decided to order ones that looked to be high quality but didn't have negative reviews, though the reviews didn't say much. Unsuprisingly the USB 3.0 connectors broke on 3 different brands I ordered, even after I made atempts to reinforce the connector with electonics adhesive.

Based on what I've seen every single last usb 3.0 hdd enclosure uses the exact same chinese logic board with the exact same faulty connector. I've looked at no less than a dozen ones from popular brands and every time they show it opened up you can see all of them use a variation of the same cheap chinese logic board which has the connector barely sodered on, ready to snap off.

Is there seriously not one 2.5" USB 3.0 enclosure that won't break instantly or are the manufacutrers really so unimaginably thick headed to doom the whole market and repeat their mistakes until consumers storm the gates and demand a fix?

Thanks for the warning... I'm in the market myself for one of these. Would it be possible for you to post the make and models of the ones you've tried so far?
