I just purchased the F3KA laptop 2 days ago from newegg.com and everything seemed perfect, i got it for a great price, 799.99. It comes with:
ASUS F3KA-X2 Turion 64 X2 15.4" WXGA ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 - Retail 512mb
AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.9G
1GB 120GB
I upgraded to 2 gigs ram.
my problem is that the computer doesnt recognize the webcam at ALL. i check all the isntalled hardware, i cant find it, i dont know if im missing something. I figured it wasnt worth the trouble and contacted asus, they said to reinstall the OS so i did, and the webam still wouldnt come up, so i contacted newegg: this was my online convo with them:

First, have you checked for drivers for the webcam? It could be as simple as that.
If that doesn't work you need to get on the phone with Asus and just say that your webcam died (don't even tell them about the 30day or whatever warranty from Newegg) and then you should be able to get a reference number from that and then you can ask them to find an authorized repair center near you where you can drop it off and have them bill Asus, since it's under warranty.
