FHD touch screen vs HD touch screen (both are 15.6" inch displays) ease of use

What I am thinking it there any benefit to choose a HD panel over the FHD panel as a touch screen?
Logic behind it tells me that a HD touch screen the icons, shortcuts, and everything in general will be a lot larger on the screen, making it easier to press on items without missing or making mistakes.

FHD with touch, maybe be harder to consistently hit the target items, especially if item are small on screen, e.g. make way through file system

Basically I have no choice to choose either of the two types of the above touch screens (FHD or HD), for the specific model of notebook I will next acquire. Only one AMD model comes with a FHD touch panel, and all other Intel models are HD touch panels.

FHD touch screen with AMD A10-5750 with 8750M

HD touch screen with Intel i7-4700MQ with 750M

I really want the model with the Intel processor, but will have to be subjected to a HD panel. I could go with the AMD model, but the only reason will be for the FHD touch screen.

I trying to talk myself into thinking that a HD touch screen will be acceptable over a FHD panel, due to possible ease of use. Any thoughts on this?

Wait there isn't a FHD panel with the Intel ?

    Strange, I ordered the quad-edition with a 1080p touch + 4700qm .

I only have access to a small handful of pre-built models. Customer To Order (CTO) models are only available in the US.

I am wondering if it is worth going with the HD touch model, to get the Intel processor model with Nvidia GPU?

The other only option I have is AMD to get FHD, slower hardware with higher resolution.

Main question I have, is a HD touch screen effectively better to use over a FHD touch screen, due to most items on the screen are presented larger?

I would just go with the best screen possible, yeah the AMD has a better GPU but I would think a FHD screen and better CPU would future proof a bit futher .

I don't think there is THAT much of a size difference between the HD and the FHD screen, and I'm pretty sure they are going to update scaling in the 8.2 versions of W8 .

Not so sure the AMD model can drive the FHD panel with games. I have a very simular AMD model with a non touch FHD panel, it pretty slow once it tries to drive games at 1080p, depending on the game, I usually have to reduce the resolution to cope with most games.
Although the prime objective is for a FHD touch panel, just don't want the slow AMD hardware in this one. Arrghh this is so frustrating, forced marketing of HD panels and just one single FHD modelnation wide here for what I want :(
