    Wondering to know that if buy a FW285 D/H, which cpus are supported to replace that P8400?
    T9300 or T9550 or .....?

    If it supports the P8400, it'll support the T9600. An even better choice would be the P9600 :)

    And why do you think P9600 would be better?

    Since you have a P8400 by default, I'd assume that you have a 45-Series chipset. The 45-Series chipsets support all Socket P processors (though Quads and Extremes are a crapshot due to their higher power requirements). For a complete list of Socket P processors, you can refer to the guide in my sig.

    I think the P9600 is better than the T9600 because it has a lower maximum TDP, and only slightly worse performance.
