Samsung has made available two new firmware DXT09B0Q and DXM06B0Q compatible with 840 and 840 PRO SSD models, respectively. These can be installed on Samsungs MZ-7TD120BW, -7TD250BW, and -7TD500BW SSDs from the 840 and the MZ-7PD128BW, -7PD256BW, and -7PD512BW units that makes the 840 PRO lineup.
from what i can gather
Fixes:
- Improved compatibility with ultra-slim and mobile PCs.
perhaps more useful for the haswell line of ultrabooks?
-
Oh and as usual, the FW upgrade process is non destructive, i updated the 256 840Pro through the Sammie Magician prog

Thanks for informing. Updating now.

So it does what? Improves power consumption under low load or idle? Not sure how that update translates for me and if I should bother with the update if running an older notebook like an 8510P. If however it does offer power saving then I'd be all for it.

Well that is how I read the update as well and I have a 17R4
FW upgrade for the 840 Pro/non Pro line
