is there a way to manually turn on the fan? sumtimes i want it on my lap and it gets a little warm, but i dun wanna shell out da money since i only do this wen im tired of working and wanna relax on da couch.
i dun mind da noise since im mainly just chatting online and watching tv or the energy used since im plugged in.

how would i do this? i dun mind downloading a program, but i would like i to be free, since as i have mentioned i dun wanna pay for this luxury.

its not hot, or largly unconfortable, i just don like it even slightly warm, a lot of the heat is coming from my lap and into da notebook.

    i would appreciate any information.

    thnx

    Unseen,

You might want to try I9kfangui it is a great program for controlling your fans.

You might also want to check into a cooler like the ones in this thread:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=37482

Both will lower the temp on your computer. The nice thing about coolers is that you can have them on your lap and the laptop still has room to breath.

What notebook do you have? Try Notebook Hardware control and see if there is the fan controlling enabled. It works perfectly on Asus M6800N .

    Cheers,
