    Hi All
    Just wondering if it is possible to hack my asus G51-RX05 laptop fan to speed it up or down and turn it off and on. Please help

    No it is not possible to change fan settings unless you have a Dell or a Sager.

    The only possible way would be if you soft mod the dsdt tables of acpi settings or if you know how to write new BIOSes

    one way to do it is to connect the fan directly usb power.

    most notebook fans are 5V and most usb ports can supply 5V.
    So that is one way to do it.
