Well I am on my fourth or fifth fan with my Clevo M860ETU in the past year.
Every time I travel with it (Carry on - tried different bags) the fan begins rattling afterwards. Ive tried removing and putting the fan back, looked for anything loose, tried spinning fan at high speeds upside down/upright/sideways and was not able to replicate it on my own.
I can get the sound to stop temporarily by flipping my notebook upside down and flipping it back but I would like to be able to find a long term solution without having to swap the fan out for a new one.

Is the fan attached firmly?
Maybe it's not the fan itself, but the vibration of the fan spinning causing the housing to loosen up and shake inside your notebook. -
EDIT: Some additional info: I also brought back a few notebook coolers and they are also making the same sounds even when the fans are removed and running on their own. Is it the magnetic bearing?
