I'm planning on buying a XPS M1210. What is most important in order for the computer to be really fast for web browsing and downloading movies and music and occasional but not a lot of game playing.

    Hard drive, memory, and processor.

    Right now I am thinking...

    Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2500 (2GHz/667MHz FSB)

    60GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive

2GB Dual Shared Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (2 Dimms)

Should I stick with that or maybe downgrade one of these to lower the price a little? Thank you.

None of them... Computers can handle browsing and downloading with ease. It won't even flex a strand of muscle... What really makes the difference is your connection speed.

But if you're enquiring about better overall performance I would say HDD, CPU, RAM (1GB should be sufficient for your needs) in that particular order. Possibly lower 2Ghz to 1.83 if you wish to save money.
