What kind of things should i expect to see if i get a 2.2ghz core 2 duo instead of a 1.8 ghz? Will there be a dramatic effect on gaming? Video editing? Load times? Basically whats the biggest gain from a fastest processor? (im looking at the T7500 atm).

Personally I would choose the 2.0ghz processor because its a nice balance between price/performance.

In CPU intensive tasks like video editing you w/see an improvement but both CPU's are so fast and such overkill you will not see any diff in most apps "real world". Gaming=no load time=no.

the 2.2 and the 1.8 might both be overkill
hence, i'd go for the 2.0: the double cache vs the 1.8 should give a bigger impact than the pure, raw CPU power :)

I would do as said twice, go for 2Ghz I like the 4MB L2 also. But I would not pay more than $100 extra for it, and that is a little much.

As the knowledgeable posters above me have asked, what are the price differences between the processor choices? Also if you could tell us what kind of other specifications the computer has you are looking at, that would help.
