    I had 1+1 GB Kingston DDR2 667
    Now i have 2+1 GB Kingston DDR2 667

There was no change in my vista performance rating, as i expected, since it's the speed that counts, and not the amount (based on what i read here). I just needed one more GB so i could work well on autocad and it did.

But i'm curious about one thing. Which memories can improve (a lot) my vista performance rating? Because yesterday i was at a store and noticed that a laptop (Toshiba) had 4 GB DDR2 800 and a very high rating compared with mine. And it was a "cheap" laptop, so i don't think it had the top brand on memories...

Perhaps the FSB of the computer in the store is faster than yours.

WEI can be a bit 'misleading'at times so dont really rely on it

THE ram score @ WEI tends to be determined by the speed of the ram..

    Sister's laptop: C2D T8300 (2.4 Ghz). 4GB PC5300 667 Mhz | 5.4 RAM WEI
    Dad's Laptop: C2D P8400 (2.26 Ghz), 2GB PC6400 800 Mhz | 5.9 RAM WEI

Quoted for truth. The more RAM in your system the better, trust us on this one.

Agreed, it really is useless if you have that amount of memory and your processing speed is not changed.
