    A fast HDD will be crippled by the USB interface so no one sells a ready made external 7200rpm 2.5" HDD. However, there are plenty of external 3.5" 7200rpm HDDs.

    See this thread for a comparison of a 2.5" 320GB 5400rpm through (i) eSATA (= full speed) and (ii) USB 2.0.

    If you want a 2.5" 7200rpm external HDD then choose your own HDD and enclosure.
