    Does the M1330 support booting from the ExpressCard slot? That is what you need to know.

    Chances are it does not support that.

    Also, from what I seemed to gather, Expresscard SSDs used to be pretty slow compared to HDDs.

    Not due to bandwidth limitaions by the expresscard slot, but by the nature of their flash memory and internal workings.

    i.e. its quite possible that even if it would work it would bevery slow.
