We already had the HD Tune results but now we have the PC Mark Vantage results for the 3200BEVT. Many thanks to djcraig for finding these!

"Verdict: The 7,200RPM spin rate and 160GB per platter makes the Scorpio one of the fastest, if not the fastest, laptop drive around." http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2845,2321520,00.asp

Comparison materials: Results for 7K200. Vista startup 15,21 Mb/sec. Link. When comparing the PCMark Vantage results the 3200BEVT is faster than 7K200 in most situation, in some situation they are almost the same. In one situation, application loading, the 7K200 beats the 3200BEKT (4.59 vs 4.03) probably due to the lower access times of the 7K200.

If anyone has a Hitachi 7K320 or Seagate 7200.3 and is willing to run PC Mark Vantage (Vista) on it please do so! PC Mark Vantage is free to try.

Yeah, like i said, i have heard the 7k320 Hitachi vibrates like a madman and we dont need that, so if anyone has got the 7200.3 Seagate, rev it up and get the specs on here!
I am running outta time to get one in!
    Cheers guys...... ;)

I just ended up getting the WD drive since time was running out for comparisons. I have their desktop 640 Gb drive and its crazy fast so hopefully this will be too. I had a Seagate 5400.5 320 Gb laptop drive and the Vista bar moves across like 15 times. The access times are 22 - 25 ms.

    Tomshardware has tested the WD3200BEKT 320GB 7200rpm
    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ssd-hard-drive,1968-2.html

    Good news:
Edit: Unfortunately the results focus more on power requirements.
