    Hey guys,
I was looking online today to purchase a new faster Burner for my laptop.Checking on the main two places i use Newegg and Tigerdirect there arent to many options out there so i was wondering what other places do you guys use for laptop components? It seems they are alot harder to find.

Also if anyone has a good recommendation on a specific model wouldnt mind hearing that as well.Im also hoping to find the fastest possible write speeds. Thanks Guys and happy holidays.

Most laptops use a 1/2" thick "slim" burner but a few have a 3/8" thick burner. Power considerations mean that the maximum burning speed of laptop burners is 8x DVD, 24x CD.

Desktop burners are much thicker (~1 1/2").

hey sly,Yeah i know they are the sameother then form factor and i did find a few on Newegg but what i wanted to know is what other good vendors are out there other then newegg and tigerdirect.I have always had great expierience with these sites but im sure there are other i never used so im just looking for other options that people had good expierience with.Other then that On the sites i use there are only about 4-5 choices as far as brands of DVD burners and not much variety so i was hoping to find an alternate site for more variety.
