I got into a discussion of displays on the HP forum and this made me curious about the one in my current laptop. Is there a way to find the model without taking the machine apart? I tried looking at the hardware ID of the monitor in Device Manager, but all that gives me is the very useful "Monitor\Default_Monitor". Is there a program in Windows or a command in Linux that can find the name or number of the display model? The laptop in question is a Compal JFL92.
