    Hello all,

I own an Acer Aspire 9410 laptop and am wanting to copy and transfer video from my Sony HVR HD1000U camcorder. I don't have a firewire port on my laptop and my user manual for my camcorder tells me that I require an ilink 4 pin to 4 pin cable and a firewire connection.

I have looked online and notice that I have a Type II card slot and have found some PC card firewire adapters but I want to make sure I get the right one for what I am doing. (Transferring HDV video to my laptop). Any suggestions are appreciated!
