If a cardbus card doesn't have a Vista driver available, is there any chance it will still work with Vista?

I have a Thinkpad running Vista Business.

Yesterday I purchased an ADS Tech 1394DV card for udner $15 on clearance. Even though it doesn't list Vista as being supported (which is probably why it's on clearance) I was hoping ADS would have drivers online for Vista on their website. No such luck, I don't see any mention of Vista.

So does that mean this card has little to no chance of working with Vista? (I haven't opened the blister pack yet, can still return it).

It also came with some software I was hoping to use (Ulead VideoStudio 8 SE).

Something tells me my desire to save a buck is going to cost me lots of time, not worth the hassle. Thank!
