I just bought the USb 2.0 / Firewire combo PCMCIA card by SIIG. I was impressed by the 5 year warranty back up. It made me think that this was a reliable product for the manufacturer to really extend the warranty.

Just bought mine 1 day ago. Having proble, with it.
Dont know if it is a hardware or a driver issue.

After installing it. I was able to test the USB port. It detects my lexar jumpdrive on the 2 ports.

But when I tried external dvdrw drive, it says " can't recognize"

So I checked the "read me docu" And there was a diagram showing the installation of a "USB filter"...
However this was not present as an option during set-up. Only the USB driver was visible...

What does a "USB filter" do [?][?][?][?][?]

How do you uninstall the drivers and where to look for them [?][?][?][?][?][?]
