    Hi guys out there
I cant' install properly my firewire audio card(Tascam Fireone or Edirol FA-66) on my Aspire 6935G.
As the 6935G doesn't have a firewire slot I bought a Belkin Express card with 2 FW connectors.I tried to install the Fireone and I can get it to work.I installed the divers for vista available at the tascam website. But then I only get on "Audio devices" (playback) icons for speakers and not a device itself. In fact I get proper device icons for the Realtek internal device and for the USB Tascam US 122(that's another of my audio cards). But for the Fireone ,as I said ,only speaker icons(and description). It has to be said that for "Devices -Recording" I have a proper icon of a device similar to the one of the other devices.I tried to insatall the Edirol FA-66 and the result is the same only that this time I can get some sound out of it but horribly distorted. I have to say that all the cards work perfectly on my other notebook-a Packard Bell-with Windows XP on it.
So my question is :what's wrong? Is it Vista? Is it the Acer computer in itself? Is it the fact that it is an Express card adaptor and not a proper slot ?I installed and reinstalled the drivers several times with no results .Can anyone there help me?
    Thanks
