I have a HP dv5-1004nr and love it so far. However, it has no Firewire port and I need a way to get videos off my digital video camera to the computer. I was thinking about getting an Expresscard for Firewire and doing it that way unless there is a better idea. I have an eSATA port if that is of any help. Do they make a cable with Firewire on one end and eSATA on the other?

I think an FireWire ExpressCard would be your best option. There are eSATA to FireWire converters out there, but they are the same price or can be more expensive than the ExpressCard. And I'm not even sure if they will work the way you wanted, cause those converters I've seen are for people with a FireWire port that want to attach an external HDD via eSATA, so I'm not sure if they will work the other way around.
