They shure as hell are going all in with gaming notebooks. Kudos for that :D

No that 675M is going to perform better than 580M I think. Alienware with their gamingbeast M18x R2 will offer 7970M as the highest with AMD GPUs, and 660M and 675M with Nvidia GPUs but 675M in SLI.
Today they offer 560M and 580M in SLI. I think that should tell something. + the AC adapter of 200W

Who knows, haha. If it is faster then I will upgrade, but I strongly doubt it.

    But, how is 200W DAAAAAMN?

M17X R3s have been getting 240W PSUs since launch :/

I just found out that the samsung with 6970M also have 200W. Oh well, it is just me then. I`m sitting here with my 120W adapter and I thinks it is huge lol. Can`t imagine a 200W :p

I would be surprised if it is not faster. Unlike the last two and a half years worth of upgrades which were all 40nm, the upcoming GPUs come with a full node die shrink (down to 28nm). If it is slower, then what are they doing with the 200W of juice? Ivy Bridge is not that power hungry and even with 16GB of RAM, that laptop would barely draw 100W without the GPU.

You have taken the wrong image. That image shows the bottom of the Series 7 Chronos. The Series 7 the thread is talking about is the Series 7 Gamer. Don't post images without first verifying, that will mislead others.

They took it down as it violated the NDA. The Gamer is already available since Oct 2011 with a 6970M. It is discussed over at the Samsung forum that the internals were modified for the new gen. Outlook remains the same.
