I had been trawling the web to see if I could find some information on the bluetooth module for my Acer Aspire 9300 laptop. I have been unable to find anything useable!![]()
Recently on eBay I found a seller who had Acer Aspire 9300 bluetooth modules for less than £15.00 GBP. Without thinking, I bought one. It wasn't until I found another seller on the web, that I realised there were 4 versions of the module for Aspire laptops. DOH.
When my module arrived, I was relieved to find it was the correct one, completely by chance!
Here is how I fitted my Acer Aspire 9300 bluetooth module.
(If you are going to buy one, search on eBay, but make sure you get the 4 pin version - there are many versions)
1. Undo all screws from bottom of laptop (You do not need to undo the accessory hatches, just the main case screws)
2. Lift the keyboard from the base. Use a plastic tool to do this or else a metal one will put dents in the plastic near the audio outputs.
3. Locate the 4 pin socket for the bluetooth adapter cable to plug into. It should be under where the mouse pad is, and next to the hard drive unit.
I had to use plyers to squeeze the plug into the socket - It isnt coming back out any time soon!![]()
4. Re-assemble the laptop, making sure that you have checked under the keyboard itself to make sure the mouse pad has not become disconnected. I failed to check this and when the laptop was screwed back together the mouse did not work!![]()
All the lights on the left side of the laptop are now illuminated at one time or another and I have a bluetooth icon on my taskbar!![]()
You will need to download the ACER ASPIRE bluetooth driver from the acer website - Quick tip... Search for it on google as the Acer site is very slow and timed out when I tried to download the file. It is 44mb and must be installed before turning on the button.
Hope this has been a useful entry for someone. I tried to find a resource like this before attempting the installation, but as I could not find one thought I would be the first and document it.

You will need to remove the space from the link to make it work.
Daft forum - spilt the link!
Cheers
