    "FileServe can only be used to download and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally."

    Cannot download this, can you put this on Mediafire.com?

    Should this replace an existing file, or just add it into the windows/system32/drivers?

    EDIT: Tried it, no luck. :(

    I have similar symtoms with my G53JW's Realtek ALC269 when being idle. If the registry key is missing, do i have to create a new one as "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtek\RAVCpl64\PowerMgnt"?

    ...AND mustn't we set "Enabled" registry key to "0 (zero)" to completely disable power save function to prevent popping noise as implied in "disable always.reg" file?

    I beleive RAVCpl 64 is for 64-bit systems.

    BTW, the default setting for Power save function IS Enabled = 1, not 0. Unlike stated in the first post.

    Just wanted to say that the Realtek registry key was stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE on my laptop.
    I had to create the power management key though.

    This is how it worked for me:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Realtek\RAVCpl64\PowerMgnt]
    "Enabled"=dword:00000001
    "DelayTime"=dword:0000000f
    "OnlyBattery"=dword:00000001

    So basically i set it to enabled for battery use only, with a delay of 15 seconds.

    Additionaly i copied the file from Tommy2001 in the system32/drivers folder.
    For the first time this is working for me, no sound popping anymore.

    I didn't understand what the reg files are for, so I just changed the settings on the registry and it has worked for me so far, no more cracking noises while plugged in.
    I have a netbook ASUS Eee PC 1001PxD and I had been fighting the crackling sounds for a few days, trying many Realtek drivers without success
    Thank you Sarge_
    Just wondering about the trouble with the battery you mentioned

    I have the same issue with my G750JZ, but for me it is the complete opposite...the static noise can be heard when the chip is active and when the chip is off due to power saving, the static is gone too. I tried to disable the power saving in the registry but since the chip stayed active, the static stayed too.
    I of course tried different drivers, they only make is more bearable, but neither of them make it disappear...

    It's Nov 2014.

    I brought a 2014 MSI GE60 and for the first few days the audio is perfectly fine.

    Two hours ago, the audio sound started to crack...

    Am glad I found your solution. It works!
