Hi, i have 1 1/2 year old Asus laptop with T9400 and M Radeon 3650.
And its monitor is flashing/blinking uncontrollably. Like when i first boot it it works fine, but then it starts to flash every 5 min and then it starts flashing randomly every second or so.
I don't think it's the monitor's problem because when i flash a flashlight on it i don't even see the dim screen. and most importantly when i hook it up to an external monitor it still flashes like hell. I have to not display anything on the laptop's LCD and have the graphics card output directly to the ext monitor in order for it to not flash. Not to mention, when it flashes THE MOUSE COURSOR ALWAYS MOVES BACK TO THE CENTER OF THE SCREEN, just like how it happens when you change the monitor resolution or something.
I tried reinstalling the drivers, and it still didn't do the trick, i restored the windows system to its earliest point and it still didn't do it. But when i boot the windows in safe mode there is no flashing.
I really hope you guys can help me with this.

Either a lose connection or a bad inverter. However since it does not happen immediately after you boot the laptop but happens after sometime, that reminds me of a bad inverter.
You may purchase an inverter from ASUS's estore (which should be around $10-$15) and give it a try.

Well i don't know what inverter is or how to work it to fix my monitor. But for those people who have the same problem as I do, i found the solution.
I had the "Ambient Light Sensor" to the max so i can brighten up my screen. And it seems that when i have that to max, my screen blinks uncontrollably. So i put that to my default setting which was two levels higher from zero, and it fixed the problem. ((when you first buy it with the factory setting, you can see your laptop dimming right after you boot up windows))
But if you could post the solution with inverter and explain it to me or send me a link explaining what it is, it would be really appreciated
thanks.
