    Floppy internal to DVD?

    Hello,

    Is there an internal DVD drive available that could connect to the connector pictured below?

    The laptop model is a latitude D600, not sure what era it's from, but maybe 2005? I dono.

    Here is the picture of the floppy drive and it is roughly the same size as a SATA laptop OD: [​IMG]

    Go to eBay and look for "D600 DVDRW" or anything along those lines. There should be plenty of drives. If you actually need a DVDRW, you can find 'em as low as $25; if you need a DVDROM, you can't find 'em even lower.

    All of the D-Series machines use the same optical drive modules, so you could look for Dx10, Dx20, or even Dx30 drives if you're looking for the absolute cheapest price on these things.
