I came across this interesting RAM SPD config software (Thaiphoon Burner): Thaiphoon Burner - Official Support Website

    And a tutorial video:

If I was to insert a dual channel 1866 MHz RAM (Corsair, model CMSX16GX3M2A1866C10), would I be able to force the A10 mobile to recognize the 1866 MHz speed?

Currently, if you use 1866 RAM with an A10-4600M its 99% of the time going to function at 1600 MAX by default no matter what because this is what the memory controller was designed to do. So far, AMD nor some other person or company has released any software or application that would allow the A10-4600M's memory controller to go that high. AMD's next top-end mobile Richland APU A10-5750M will operate at 1866 by default. This would be the only possible way to utilize 1866 RAM in a computer currently using the A10-4600M (assuming plug and play compatibility). Upgrading from Trinity to Richland is reported to be possible by AMD same socket and may or may not require an updated BIOS.

But then I have a second related question in the future:

How to force 2133 MHz RAM to run at its rated speed, on an A10-5750m?

(I'm one of those people who always ask, "But can we go farther?")

Only one way to find out... try it yourself. That's what I'll be doing as soon as I can get my hands on a A10-5750M.
