    Title says it all.

When booting, the keyboard works fine, I am trying to re-install XP and the keyboard no longer works when getting to the XP installation screen.

    What should I do?

Does it have a PS2 port?

Yea it does have a PS2 port (on the port dock), but I don't have a PS2 keyboard. The (laptop)keyboard works during BIOS, but not during the XP installation. Kinda bugging me...just a LITTLE!!! How can I solve this?
I checked the settings in BIOS, doesn't offer much...menu list: Keyboard/Mouse features > Numlock: ON > Hotplug: Enabled > Internal pointing device: Always Enabled...not too much concerning the keyboard itself...

Perhaps removing the keyboard and putting it back together would help if there's something loose in there. The S4510 is also old. Could be it's broke due to age. If there's something wrong with the disc that could be an issue as well.

It is not the disk (XP cd)...I just did a fresh install once again on my toshiba laptop, so I know its not the cd. I did however disassemble the laptop and the keyboard from the laptop and nothing appeared loose or missing, but still when the XP install screen appears the keyboard quits working.
