    Hi all,

I have a Lifebook E754 with a i7-4712MQ which still works perfectly fine. The display however has died and took the risk of buying a panel that would fit in this machine (not officially) which is 1080p instead of 133x768.

The panel itself has a 40-pin LVDS connector just like the old panel and the mainboard has a 50-pin connector that you have to press upon the mainboard connector. It's 50-pin because it also supplies USB for the webcam it seems. The cable that comes out of the mainboard connector is a single-channel LVDS cable it seems. It only uses half of the available pins (which seem to connect to the mainboard as there are circuit paths running to them.

Based on this I "assume" it support 2ch LVDS but need a proper cable.

Fujitsu does not seem to have this cable and searching online results in millions of LVDS type cables but not exactly what I'm looking for.

So basically I'm searching for a 50-pin (Mainboard side) to 40-pin (panel side) LVDS cable.Whether with USB or not. I don't use the webcam so if I have to sacrifice it I will do that ;-).

Below are 2 links with a picture of the connector on the mainboard side:

Would somebody know which cable I would need to drive my new 1080p panel on this machine?

Those cables are custom per laptop, if there is no version of your laptop that shipped with a FHD display such 4 lane LVDS cable might not exist, your option is buying another equal cable and make a custom cable by soldering the missing LVDS lanes, they seem to be present in the motherboard at least but you should try to find a schematic of your motherboard and confirm that those lanes are indeed present and routed to the iGPU/dGPU.

There seems to be a model of your laptop with FHD display:

You need to find that laptop model cable and buy one.

The FHD version of E754 uses 30 pin eDP connector. Original panel was LP156WF4-SPH1 (replaced smashed one recently).
