    Hi,

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook S7010 with a broken processor fan. I've been trying to find someone to take a look at it without having to give it up for weeks and am considering opening it up. I have experience with assembling and troubleshootong/upgrading desktops but getting this open seems to be quite a task. Has anyone done this to this laptop? If you recommend professional help, does someone know a place in the Bay Area (San Jose/Palo Alto etc)?

Also, is the processor (Banias Pentium M 1.5) soldered on or is there a socket? I might go for an upgrade. Does anyone know?

    Thanks a ton.

PS - Could anyone tell me where I could get a service manual for this from?
