I have HDTV that I use as a secondary monitor using a DVI-D to HDMI cable. I currently have to drag a minimized window from laptop screen to monitor and vice verca. I would like to use Function key + F5 to do that but my Function keys have no effect. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm unaware of?

    Windows XP huh?

    Don't think you'll find a setting like you need/want.

You think it's Windows XP the problem? Laptop came with Vista but I liked much better XP so I had it installed.

I would say it's XP - there's no way you could load all the drivers properly (right?) in XP?

I would recommend Win7 anyway (which should work with the Vista drivers) if Win7 doesn't install a newer/better one by default.

I'll stick to XP. Windows 7 is a heavy feeder. Not as much as a load as Vista but still not as light as XP that cruises. Maybe Windows 8 is light on the CPU?

    Thanks anyway.
