Can somebody explain me the differences between the two items?

There appears to be no diference, they are both identical.
Although the cheaper one seems to be a pc5400, and the more expensive one a pc5300. So theoretically the cheaper one should clock higher. -

667 is good in theory, but the cas is 5 instead of 4, so ultimately 533 with a cas of 4 is better, check out http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=67099 for more info -
To be honest the performance would not be noticably different between all the RAM here, so go with the cheapest

There's no difference between PC5300 and PC5400 either . . it's simply a numbering issue. The number is calculated by multiplying the clock speed of the RAM by eight, so 667 * 8 = 5336. All depends on how you round . .
G.Skill is good memory. Notebook RAM is generally the same across the board. -
I just ordered a stick of the 5400 and should get it today. I'm sure it works exactly the same as the 5300.
