Purchased the G72GX from Best Buy and would like to upgrade its DVD drive to a Blu-Ray drive. I've found one on ebay that looks to be suitable but Im not sure Link

    If it is suitable.

Is it easy to remove and install the new drive?

Does it void my warrenty with best buy?

    Thanks.

I'm not super familiar with Asus notebooks, but any time you have to take the case apart you're on shakey ground with the warranty. The other issue is making it fit. You might be able to swap the bezels. If not it might not fit right.

Well I found two screws under the laptop to release the bay but something else seems to be holding it in place. Guess I will just have to take it in if I want to replace the drive :(
