    Hi,
I'm new to these forums, so I'm not really sure if this is the place for this type of question. Anyways, I bought an Asus G73-JH a couple months back from newegg.ca (I live in Canada) and it was shipped to me with a large bright spot anomaly on the screen. The first time I shipped it to Asus, no service was done. The second time, the led lcd was replaced, but it suffered from crooked mounting and some pretty severe backlight bleeding on all of the edges (flashlighting). The third time I sent it in, the screen was replaced, but the bleeding was not improved. I am sick and tired of sending my laptop in only to get nowhere.
    I came across this post

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/529888-g73-backlight-bleed-fix.html

while I was looking for some potential fixes, but I really don't understand what the fix is. Does anyone have a fix for backlight bleeding? I have heard of rubbing the screen, and this electrical tape fix, but nothing actually seems to give any concrete directions. I am not sending my unit back into Asus's incompetent service center, and I don't mind taking my unit apart myself.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I think what he was trying to do was put paper around the edges but not where it was past the bezel, just used tape to hold paper in place. This way it kept it from bleeding around the edges.
