I just contacted Dell and they said they will be launching an more upgrade options for its graphics card.

Will this really be True? More resources will be great.

I don't understand how this would work... they would need to replace the 1535 motherboard to upgrade the GPU. I think they are referring to the refresh of the Studio 15 line such that buyers of new machines would have the option of a machine with a better GPU in the form of the 1555, not an upgrade for existing users.

No. They said the Engineering Department will be aware of this and work on it. I do think you still need to replace the motherboard though. I'm just happy that Dell studio 1535 sill has a future.

Well, Dell reps (and all reps, really) aren't exactly known for knowing what they're talking about...

But given that this is a claimed motherboard revision, it's plausible. The 1535 has already undergone a motherboard revision, so another one isn't out of the question; earlier models shipped with a 965-Chipset, later models shipped with a 45-Series chipset, and that HD3450 got slipped in somewhere in between.

The only thing that really makes me skeptical of this information is the impending release of the 1555. Why would Dell refresh the 1535 if they've got a new model filling the same niche coming out? Doesn't really make much commercial sense for Dell.
