Im sure this was already covered maybe someone can give a quick anwser or a link..

Im looking at a inspirion 1420 with the Geforce 8400M GS 128mb i believe.. with 1gb.

What i was wondering is if it worth geting the Core 2 Duo 2ghz 4mb cache Over say a 1.66 or 1.80 2mb Cache..

Would i see any noticable difference due to the bottleneck of a mid range video card?

With that GPU any of those CPU's should be fine matched with that card but that is for gaming, anthing else you do on the computer you might want CPU for? Or just future proof? Real world all CPU's fine.

I don't think you will see a diff the way you asked the question. I would pay $50 for 1.8Ghz I would diffinetly pay $100 for 2Ghz 4MBL2 maybe $150 but that's me and not so much about gaming. So you gotta choose it's all about you buddy.

"real world all CPU's fine" meant I don't think your going to see a noticable diff about your question, CPU intensive tasks (not gaming) yes.

more important I think you will be happy with any of them.
