I was wondering if it was at all possible to upgrade the GPU or whatever on my 04 sattelite m35x-s149 1.5 celleron with intel graphics :)( ) I know there was a factory upgrade of some ATI device available but my unit never got equipped with the upgrade from the factory. My question is, since it was an option couldnt i swap them out or somehow just install if my intel unit is integrated? I am not that hardware savvy so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Most likely not. Even if the motherboard is the same then it is most likely not equiped with the actual slot (2$ cost saving for the connector ;)) and the heatsink will most likely not be there either .

No, integrated graphics cards cannot be upgraded. Please read the sticky in the gaming and graphics cards board.

Maybe. But then again I once wanted to replace my motherboard (and nothing else) and I was quoted about 600 euro. For a 1000 euro notebook.

As Ice-Tea said, it would be better in the long run simply to get a new notebook with a newer, and better, graphics card.
