Your video card can not be changed, very very few notebooks allows the GPU to be changed and yours is not one of them.

It simply will not go more than what you have right now. Thats the best it can do/offer.

    I have compaq Presario R3000
    Athlon 64 3700
    Geforce4 Go 440 64mb
    ..basically same computer as you.

It may be possible to upgrade to the Geforce4 Go 460, same size

On ebay they sell many old cards for cheap.

I used the coolbits regiestry thing, to allow overclodking , and clocked it at 233/440 (default is underclocked..at 190/380.) Nvidia offical clock is at 220/440. Compaq undercloks it.. it runs pretty good, about 10%improvement in FPS.

New data: Geforce FX Go 5700 is pin compatable with the notebook. If it fits, it will work. I only need to find one, for sale.
