A few months ago, I noticed a PR regarding some new GSkill SO-DIMMs rated for 3800MHz - http://www.gskill.com/en/press/view...-so-dimm-memory-kit-for-mini-itx-motherboard- announcing these modules would be released in December.

Well, it's December. There's no other mention of this on GSkill's web site, I cannot find any information on reseller's sites.
I've emailed GSkill, and they haven't bothered to respond.

I believe the part number for a 4x8 kit is going to be F4-3800C18Q-32GRS. Has anyone seen these for sale anywhere?

    TIA

This is the same situation as was with the 3200Mhz ram. They never responded to me and that was like a year ago. Only some resellers had them as options as upgrades and they only recently became available for purchase from places like newegg.

I expect the same situation for these 3800mhz modules, expect them to be available around June probably.

OK. Next dumb question. Assuming we won't see 3800 MHz SO-DIMMs until 2018, how does everyone suggest to proceed?

They don't make 4 module kits in the 3200/3000 MHz range. I could purchase 4 individual 3200 MHz modules or 2 (x2) 3000 MHz modules. The first x4 kit is 2400 (I think).

What are the odds of a problem trying to get all 4 running together in a 4x single o4 2x dual kit situation? If it doens't work, what do I do? Loosen the timings?

    Your wisdom is greatly appreciated.

Finally a fast DDR4 for laptops. However i'd like to see the jedec timing table, because putting in a laptop probably won't run faster than 2600MHz. But if it does something awesome low timing, like CL12 or lower at that speed it would worth to invest.

Buy two 2x kits, you should be fine that way.

Yeppers. Order was placed for 2 - 3000 MHz kits. What is aggravating about this whole memory thingy is the lack of information (even if its un-official) on when things should happen.
